“You know, there’s a lot of activism that doesn’t deal with empowerment, and you have to empower yourself in order to be relevant to any type of struggle.” © Talib Kweli
Chris Woodhull is the Architect behind Tribe One meetings…but what is the Tribe One meeting?
Some say its a critical dialogue about life and community. For some its an escape from the day to day realities that come with living in a hostile environment….for us here at BUILD ME A WORLD, its the meat and potatoes of the entire dish. If you can bring an awareness to self, a sense of consciousness in the room, it’ll reflect itself in the art….in the words…in the activist effort. Its about being ALIVE and FREE!
Empowering a culture, challenging a mindset, facilitating more than teaching. Some of the greatest moments of understanding come from the right questions being asked at the right time…its not always about a lecture, sometimes its asking questions that provoke the minds around us. That make you reflect, and many times, find the answer that really sinks into your very being.
Time: Every Wednesday night at 7:00 PM

Build Me A World is an initiative of The SoulCare Project that serves as a multi-media / fine arts collective developing people into poets, artists, and designers….creating new stories and cultivating a movement of art activism in the black community.
