Having served as a full-time academic Michael currently serves as an adjunct professor at Denver Seminary where he teaches on addictions, human sexuality, and spiritual formation.
With a life story illustrating that truth is surely stranger than fiction, Michael began attending Alcoholics Anonymous at five years old. By age ten he was participating in family drug rehab, living in a trailer park, and laying ground for a future as a psychotherapist.
Despite early exposure to a life of recovery and sobriety, Michael’s brokenness went unchecked for almost three decades, allowing him to master the art of living as an imposter. While attending the University of Effingup, Michael received the gift of brokenness which is transforming his life to this day.
Along with countless radio and podcast appearances, Michael has appeared twice on CBN’s The 700 Club, CNN-2’s Dr. Drew Show, Day of Discovery, The Hope Network, as well as numerous video productions and documentaries including Somebody’s Daughter: A Journey To Freedom From Pornography. His articles have been published with The Huffington Post, Relevant, Prism, Red Letter Christians, and numerous other books, periodicals and blogs.
Michael lives with his Julianne, and two children, in Littleton, Colorado, where he enjoys mountain biking and trail running and spending time in the Rocky Mountains.
